Spider´s web


 









 
  • Composed by protein secreted from silk glands.
  • Chiefly, this protein is liquid, but on contact with air, silk is converted in silk thread, it is very strong or resistant.
  • Not all spider´s web function as trap that tangle up the prey, some spiders take it for to catch.
 
 
How is the spider´s reproduction?

  • The male by means of its pedipalps insert the sperm into de female genital.
  • "The courtship ritual usually precedes mating… the cocoon may contain hundreds of eggs, which hatch in approximately two weeks." (Hickman 2000: 201). 

Are spiders really dangerous?
  • Normally, you can see the spiders like timid creatures, and it is true; however, you know that some spiders have toxic substance; rarely, these substance become dangerous for the human.

SCORPIONS






ORDER SCORPIONIDA:

  • Scorpions are more common in tropical and subtropical regions, some occur in temperature zones. Scorpions are generally secretive, hiding in burrows or under objects by day and feeding at night.
  • They feed largely on insects and spiders, which they seize with clawlike pedipalps and tear up with jawlike chelicerae.

MITES AND TICKS

ORDER ACARI:

The mites and ticks are parasites, they differ from other arachnids in having their cephalothorax and abdomen completely fused, whit no sign of external división or segmentation.

MITES: they lives in the dog and cat, itch ears even the cleanest house have microscopic dust mites.



TICKS: They lives on the outside of a host animals body. Nearly every kind of land animal has a species of tick that sucks its blood.
